What is Academic & Career Planning?
Academic and Career Planning, or ACP is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.
Xello is an all-new software that helps students in grades 6–12 create their very own, unique roadmap for future success—enabling them to discover their own personalized pathway through self-knowledge, exploration and planning. Built on a proven model for student success, Xello is aligned to Academic and Career Planning (ACP).
In August, 2019, the WI Department of Public Instruction shifted from the former statewide career exploration tool of Career Cruising to Xello. It is the same company, but a new interactive platform.
During the school year students will partake in interactive lessons that will help with the transition from Career Cruising to Xello.
