Perfect Attendance Though school attendance is compulsory in Wisconsin, attending school daily has many benefits for students. The attendance rate is important because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. It's difficult for the teacher and the class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students are frequently absent. Nothing can replace the interactions between teacher and learner. Students are also at school for special events and can maintain and develop positive relationships with their peers and friends. Regular attendance promotes the lifelong virtue of responsibility. This benefits students at home, school, and, in the future, their workplace.
If your student is ill or going to be abesnt for any other reason, please don't forget to call the Office to report the absence. Sometimes when only teachers are contacted, the message does not make it to the Office right away so your child may be marked unexcused.
