    Rusch Family Scholarship The family of Otto and Dorothy Rusch will provide a $2000.00 scholarship to a senior from either Ashland, Bayfield or Washburn High Schools who is a child or legal dependent of a Washburn Iron Works (WIW) employee. Your parent or guardian (employee) must be currently employed at the time of your application and have been employed for the full calendar work year prior to the year of your graduation. The student must continue education at a technical school or a four (4) year college in the fall after their graduation from high school. Deadline April 10, 2020

    Northland Area Builders Association Scholarship  Any Senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who is pursuing a career and vocational training in one of the building trades. Deadline March 31, 2020

    Northern Wisconsin Outdoor Experiential Education Scholarship For any student age 16 and older. The purpose of the Northern Wisconsin Outdoor Experiential Education Fund is to provide financial assistance to residents of Chequamegon Bay communities so that they may participate in high-quality outdoor education programs that provide the opportunity for transformative experiences in an outdoor natural setting such as National Outdoor Leadership School, Outward Bound and No Barriers USA. The scholarship is especially interested in supporting: individuals for whom it would otherwise be financially difficult to participate in such a program; and individuals who are typically underrepresented in outdoor education programs.  Deadline April 1, 2020

    Chequamegon Veteran's Scholarship  High school seniors who have been accepted to a state university, private or technical college, who are a direct descendant, i.e. child, grandchild, or a legally adopted child, of a U.S. veteran who served or is serving in the U.S. Military. Deadline Thursday, April 30, 2020

    Dan Hagen Memorial Scholarship For students who will be attending Northland College. Applicants will be judged on leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, motivation, and academic and life goals. Deadline March 31, 2020

    Midland Services Scholarship  A $500.00 scholarship available to all Cooperative members and their children who have completed one semester at an accredited college, university, or technical college.  Four of these scholarships will be awarded annually Deadline March 31, 2020

    WITC Promise Scholarship The WITC Promise Scholarship provides free college tuition for area high school graduates who meet program eligibility requirements. The WITC Promise Scholarship will pay the balance of tuition and fees for eligible students after federal grants, state grants and WITC Foundation Scholarships are applied. Tuition will be covered up to four terms (pending eligibility requirements each term).  Applicants must achieve minimum 2.0 GPA for senior year in high school  Deadline April 20, 2020

    WITC Scholarships  The WITC Foundation presents more than $200,000 to nearly 500 students each year. Students are awarded scholarships based on their academic achievement, skills, career goals and financial need.  Open February 24, 2020- Deadline April 6, 2020

    Chequamegon Bay Arts Council Scholarship  Must be a Senior graduating from a high school in Ashland or Bayfield County who it planning to enroll in a degree program leading to a career in the visual, literary, or performing arts. Deadline April 30, 2020

    Superior Choice Credit Union Scholarships  Recipients must be members in good standing of Superior Choice Credit Union (SCCU). The recipient must be a high school senior about to enter a post-secondary education program as a full-time student as determined by their respective schools.  Deadline April 24, 2020

    Prochnow Foundation for Mental Health Scholarship The Prochnow Foundation’s annual scholarship program seeks to reward one high-achieving student with a diagnosed mental illness with a $10,000 scholarship to a four-year college or full-length trade school.  Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and been accepted to a 2 or 4 year institution.  Deadline April 30, 2020

    Ashland Bayfield County Sportsmen Scholarship  Graduating Seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.7 who are pursuing a degree at a 2 or 4 year college.  Must support conservation ethics, must have a current hunting or fishing license, including Tribal permits, and applicants must be involved in school and community activities and show leadership. Deadline April 24

    PEO Community Partnership Scholarship  Awarded to a female high school senior who will be graduating from a northern Wisconsin school.  Applicants may apply from high schools in Ashland, Bayfield, Drummond, South Shore, Northwestern and Washburn. The award is a varying dollar amount from year to year, and will be distributed directly to the recipient’s designated school of higher learning. Eligibility requirements include the following:  Exhibits excellence and potential for future success in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, and community service & plans to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States, full-time, in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation.  Deadline February 28, 2020

    Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Scholarship   Dream Pool is offering four (4) scholarship opportunities: Two (2) $2,000.00 awards and Three (3) $1,000.00 awards.  Interested candidates must possess extra-curricular accomplishments and inspirational goals. Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States. (This includes Art Therapy Programs).     NMRA Marine Trades Scholarship  The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) is offering a $3,000 scholarship to an outstanding student pursuing education and a career in the marine trades. High school seniors may apply. The application is due April 1, 2020

    Flavorful Futures Scholarship We are looking for fun and unique candidates for our Flavorful Futures Scholarship. Sparkling Ice® is awarding FIVE $5,000 scholarships to eligible high school seniors who are planning their bright and colorful futures. Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale.  Deadline Feb. 15, 2020

    Snowbelt Chapter of NWTF Scholarship Any student who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college in the Fall of 2020.  Must be interested or involved in the outdoors.  Deadline Feb. 16, 2020

    Wisconsin Towns Association 2020 Scholarship All applicants must graduate from a Wisconsin public or private high school in 2020 and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or University in 2020.  Deadline:  Application form and essay must be postmarked by May 29, 2020

    Wisconsin Bankers Association Scholarship  Open to all graduating high school seniors who will be furthering their education at a Wisconsin state-accredited college, university, or state-operated technical school. Applicants may plan to enroll on a full- or part-time basis, but must show proof of enrollment for a minimum of eight (8) credits. Note: students planning to attend a government military academy or privately run trade school are not eligible to apply.  Four awards of $2,000 each will be given to qualified applicants.  Deadline Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

    Manufacturing Works Scholarship   High School Seniors attending WITC, CVTC, or UW-Stout in a Manufacturing program (ex: Welding, Machine Tool, Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Maintenance) as a full time student for 2019-2020  Deadline March 31, 2020

    Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation (WSTF) Scholarship   Students in graduating classes of high schools in Wisconsin are eligible for a Foundation scholarship.  Each applicant must be endorsed by a participating local exchange telephone company. AT&T, CenturyLink, Spring Valley Telephone Company and West Wisconsin Telcom Cooperative do not participate in the WSTF Scholarship process.  Deadline February 11, 2020

    Ashland, Iron River, Poplar Building Products Scholarship For students graduating from Maple Northwestern, Solon Springs, South Shore or Ashland High School who plan to attend a Vocational/Technical College. Deadline April 1, 2020

    Delta-Theta Sigma Scholarships  Scholarships are open to male and female high school seniors who will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison or Madison Area Technical College beginning in the fall semester of 2020.  You DO NOT have to be a member or be affiliated with Delta Theta Sigma to win a scholarship. Up to 10 $1000 In-House Resident Scholarship Leadership positions, sports and activities, community involvement, and academic achievement will be considered equally.  Up to 2 $500 Academic Scholarships available.     Superior Shores Farm Bureau Scholarship  High school senior in Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas or Iron County who will be pursuing a degree in the agriculture industry and attending a 2 or 4 year college. Eligible majors include:  dairy science, soil science, agronomy, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, forestry, horticulture, environmental science and more in the science area. Deadline April 15, 2020

    Compeer Financial High School Senior Scholarship  Graduating High School Senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale). Designated agricultural major or interest in an agriculture-related field, or have an agriculture or rural background.   Deadline March 16, 2020

    Wisconsin Professional Police Association Scholarship Program  Must be a Wisconsin resident enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a 2 or four year degree in police science, criminal justice, or a law enforcement related field- which does not include law school-is eligible.  Deadline February 3, 2020

    Wisconsin Restaurant Assoc. Education Foundation Scholarship  For students pursuing post-secondary education in fields related to the restaurant and hospitality industries, such as Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, and Food Science.  Deadline April 1, 2020

    Better Business Bureau Students of Integrity Scholarships  There are a total of 10 scholarships, each in the amount of $2,500.To be eligible for this award, the student must: Be a high school senior, a Wisconsin state resident, have a 3.0 or show GPA improvement consistently over time & plan to attend a Wisconsin-based accredited Higher Education Institution (2 or 4 year).  Deadline January 16, 2020

    Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance Teacher Education Scholarship The scholarship will be awarded annually to one graduating high school senior entering the field of education.  Please submit your application to the Academic, Career & Counseling Office by Feb 7, 2020. 

    Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance Scholarship  The scholarship will be awarded annually to one graduating high school senior. Each recipient will receive a one-time cash scholarship of $750 to be used by the student to help defray the costs of post-secondary education and related expenses. A written essay is required for the application that expands on the following information: the benefits of attending a rural school, your college and career goals and the value of growing up in a rural community and what personal values you have gained from your experience.  Please submit your application to the Academic, Career & Counseling Office by Feb 7, 2020. 

    Foundation of Rural Service Scholarship Applicants must be sponsored by a current NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association member, be accepted into an accredited 2- or 4- year college or tech school, have at least a 2.0 GPA and express an interest in returning to a rural community following college graduation.   Deadline March 6, 2020

    Wisconsin Education Association Council  High school seniors who are planning to go into the field of education and whose parent(s) are a WEAC member, a WEAC retired member or who died while holding a WEAC membership are eligible to apply.  In addition, the student must rank in the top 25% of his/her class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average  at the time of application, plan to pursue an education major or minor and intend to teach in Wisconsin.  Deadline February 1, 2020.

    National Farmers Organization Scholarships Must be a high school senior who will major in an agricultural field at an accredited college or university. Applicants will automatically be eligible to win both scholarships by completing one application Deadline Feb. 25, 2020

    Community Partnership Scholarship  Awarded to a female high school senior who will be graduating from a northern Wisconsin school, including Ashland, Bayfield, Drummond, South Shore, Northwestern and Washburn.  Must exhibit excellence and potential for future success in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities and community service & plans to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution full time in the fall of 2020.  Deadline February 28, 2020

    Northwoods Community Credit Scholarship  Open to any graduating Senior.  You, your parent, or legal guardian must be a Prime Member for at least one year and be in good standing.  Deadline April 15, 2020

    Northwoods Community Credit Military Scholarship Any student who has committed to a branch of the US Military immediately following high school graduation.  Verification by military recruiter or high school official is required.   You, your parent, or legal guardian must be a Prime Member for at least one year and be in good standing. Additional consideration will be given if the student applicant is a member of the credit union.  Application may be submitted anytime in the 2019-2020 school year. 

    Engineering Foundation of Wisconsin   These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to study engineering at a four year ABET accredited program leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering.  Each applicant will be considered for all of the following scholarships: The Engineering Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarship 4 Scholarships, of $2,000 each; The WSPE Past Presidents Scholarship, 1 Scholarship of $2,000;  The Behling Scholarship,2 Scholarships of $2,000 each; The Louis C Geiger Scholarship, 3 Scholarships of $2,000 each; The Yu-Hwa Terry Ni FREE Program, 1 or 2 Scholarships totaling $2,000; The Charles H Bennett Memorial Scholarship, Established and administered by the WSPE Fox River Valley chapter may be awarded.  Deadline Monday, December 16, 2019

    Ashland's Technology Future Scholarship   The eligibility requirements are: You are an Ashland High School student or a high school student in the Ashland School District graduating before Summer 2020; and You plan to attend a post-secondary education program that is technology related in Fall 2020, including:  auto mechanics, welding, digital arts, social media, digital marketing, physics, math and more.  The Scholarship Selection Committee within Ashland's Technology Future will review all submissions and determine three winners. A first place winner will be awarded a $1000 scholarship, and two runners up will each receive $500 scholarships.  The scholarship application will become available September 1, 2019 and all applications will be due January 15, 2020.

    Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship Any graduating high school student who intends to enroll in a postsecondary institution, university, college, or vocational/technical college. Students who are Wisconsin residents, in good standing, and demonstrate probable success in postsecondary education are eligible for consideration. They will be evaluated on leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement, and academic achievement and on their future educational goals, personal life goals, community/society service goals, and career goals.     Jack Kent Cooke The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities.     Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship  Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.  Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.  Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.  Deadline November 5, 2019

    Coca -Cola Scholarship  This is a highly competitive program and will require that you take the time to fully and accurately portray yourself.     Hagen Scholarship Foundation Nationwide, need based merit scholarship for high achieving students who will require financial assistance in order to attend college.  Must graduate from a high school in a county with less than 50,000 residents.  350 available per year. Deadline November 15, 2019

    Schneider-Emanuel American Legion Scholarship  

    Awards will be given to an applicant that has maintained an academic average of "B" or better for a period of seven high school semesters.  The applicant also must: Be able to meet the specific entrance requirements of the chosen learning institution & complete and submit supporting documents such as: transcript of grades, four recommendation forms, and your ACT score.  The following factors shall be considered by the judges when deciding the relative merit of the applicant:
    • Moral Character - Devotion to the American way of life and its institutions, and applicant's seriousness of purpose.
    • Scholastic excellence of the applicant
    • Participation and accomplishment in American Legion affiliated activities
    • Personality, leadership, and participation in general extra-curricular activities  Deadline March 1, 2020

    Tip Grant The TIP grant aids low-income and disadvantaged Wisconsin students with additional college funding to help reduce the student’s amount of loan, work-study, or unmet need. Students must be attending at least part time. Students must be a first-time freshman. Students must be attending a public or private Wisconsin college or university. A student must meet one criteria from Group A based on financial need and one criteria from Group B based on nontraditional/ disadvantaged circumstances. The TIP grant can be renewed for up to ten semesters of enrollment and must be used within six years of enrollment at a public, private, or technical college or university in Wisconsin.     2019 Design for the Future Scholarship Each spring, SDS Architects of Eau Claire awards two college scholarships to area graduates who are seeking to further their education in fine arts, interior design, or architecture.  The scholarship is open to applicants from Ashland High School, Bloomer High School, Cashton High School, Colfax High School, Durand High School, Elcho High School, Elk Mound High School, Frederic High School, Lac Du Flambeau Public School, Menomonie High School, and Spring Valley High School.     GSAFE 2019 Youth Scholarship  The GSAFE Youth Scholarship awards up to four high school seniors $1000 each. The recipients of these awards will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting just and respectful schools for all, with an emphasis on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students and issues (LGBTQ+). This scholarship is open to all Wisconsin high school seniors, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.     Scholarships for Student Caregivers For young people who are taking on the role of caregiver for older loved ones are simultaneously pursuing high school, college or graduate-level education.     Cobell Scholarship  Both Merit-based and Need-based, the competitive scholarship is annual, non-renewable, and available to any post-secondary student who is; an enrolled member of a US Federally-Recognized Tribe, enrolled in full-time study and is degree-seeking.
