Employee Leaves
Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
The Family and The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a federal law providing eligible employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year for qualifying family and medical reasons. It requires employers to maintain health insurance coverage and restore employees to the same or equivalent position upon return.
Long Term Disability
Long-term disability (LTD) insurance provides financial support to individuals who are unable to work due to a long-term injury or illness. It typically begins after short-term disability benefits have ended and usually replaces 50-70% of a persons pre-disability income.
All other leaves are covered in the Employee Handbook and the School District of Ashland's active policies #3431 & #4431.
